Description
The abandoned barns and farms here in Eastern Ohio are an all too common sight. The extensive strip mining and now the oil fracking are leading to the demise of many other family farms. It`s truly sad.

Dave, I love the colors in this wistful painting. The vintage shack is very appealing, especially with the exposed wall; I love it that I can see the sky through i! The composition is lovely, and I admire the texture and colors of the grass on which the structure sits. Wonderful image, dear friend! l/f/fb

Absolutely gorgeous work Dave! The details and color in the grasses alone are thoroughly captivating, and there's a whole remaining set of elements that are a color celebration at it's best! You do amazing work! Fav/V/Pamela

What a gorgeous creation my friend; I love the color and that amazing composition - I saw so many places like this out in the high plains of eastern Colorado while staying out there earlier this year.....they have a beauty in their decaying existence as the energies are transformed into new life, sometimes (a lot of the time) we cannot see it, but its there and you have the ability to put it on canvas...such a wonderful talent Dave! Gorgeous work as always and so enjoyable! jd
