Artist's Description
This beautiful large mouth bass was caught by my wife several years ago in one of our nearby lakes here in eastern Ohio. This beast weighed in at 9 pounds 9 ounces and was promptly released back into the lake after weighing it. A bass this size is considered exceptional in Ohio. She wanted me to say it was a bigger bass than I ever caught. I can honestly say that song is REALLY gettin` old.
About Dave Farrow
It is with a very heavy and sad heart that I must inform you of Dave's passing on November 13th 2018. He loved being part of this site with all of his heart. He enjoyed reading and responding to all his comments and making comments to his other artists buddies as well. I just wanted to make sure you all know why he is not responding to your comments. Not only have I lost my husband of 40 years, my best friend, my soul mate but the world has lost a wonderful person, artist and soul as well. Sincerely, Lorraine Farrow Don`t let the bio photograph scare you. Seven other veterans and myself grow pony tails to donate to wigs for kids with cancer. Magnificent fish. Magnificent painting. Your wife rocks! THIS is a fish tale...who holds the record for real? (Depends on who I talk to?)
Dave Farrow replied:
Kay, I have to admit, the biggest I ever caught weighed 7 pounds so her 9 pounder holds the record (sigh) she says girls rock (sigh again)

This is doing wonderfully in the contest for fishing.... we need a companion piece, here, Dave. You cant do such a wonderful fish painting without making a companion work... : )) Don't you love how others suggest your painting schedule.

This image brings back such a wonderful memory at Lake Guntersville in North Alabama. A male friend and I went fishing, found a place a good ways away from the people. We caught a good ice chest full of catfish, but my first bite was a small-mouth bass and he was a good size. My friend thought he was going to get the first catch, but instead caught a snapping turtle LOL. Awesome, love the colors you've chosen and the action.
Dave Farrow replied:
Maria thank you for such a wonderful comment and story. I`ve heard of Guntersville. It`s well known for it`s fishing

Wonderful Sportsman Artwork, Dave, or should I say "Sports-Woman". LOL… I enjoyed reading your description… One of my young granddaughters caught an 8-pound bass this past summer. She was at her dad's company picnic in Wisconsin when she hooked her catch. It was also returned to the lake. L&F
Dave Farrow replied:
Doug thank you so much buddy
