Oh my goodness Dave!!! I am so thankful for the Activity Stream page because that's how I can discover artwork that I have missed. Malanda was favoriting this WONDERFUL painting!! I read your previous comments as well. So heartfelt, especially Jane Small. Who can top that, although Malanda and David are in the running. This painting by Griffin is the "MOST"!!! He was really wanting the vehicle to be a suped-up hot rod, I mean look at those awesome, custom wheels and tires, you three are really motoring along!! So it's a great action piece as well!! His brushstrokes are amazing, such attention to detail!! Love the backdrop of the painting with the peaceful rainbow! Dave your grandson did a remarkable job on this lovable painting! I used to teach art to children and this displays some pretty amazing qualities for his age! He covered the entire paper which is highly unusual and expresses his confidence, he also created a nicely balanced composition! This little guy has great artistic potential! I'm so glad you shared it and he is so fortunate to have a proud grandpa to mentor him! LF

I was very attracted to this painting because of the very personal nature of the symbolism in it, which is amazing for a 4 year old!! A pure delight! And I love to encourage children and those starting out in art! Bravo, Griffin! v/f!!

Dave, I noticed this painting by your grandson yesterday whilst visiting your works but decided to save viewing for another time. Now I have returned to view and I'm so happy that I did so ! I love the way children paint and this is very poignant to me. Takes me back to some very happy times with my two sons. What I love and really notice about Griffin's work (apart from I adore the simple loveliness of the three figures and the colors!) is that he has covered the entire paper in paint. I have reason to believe that this is most unusual for a four year old. I suspect he will follow in the footsteps of his amazing artist grandfather, and sincerely hope so. The world needs your qualities to multiply in as many ways as possible Dave! That's my personal belief anyway ! Thanks so very much for sharing this gem. God bless both you and Griffin!
