Storm Coming Over The White Mountains
Artist
Dave Farrow
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
Description
The basic idea for this painting comes from a pair of photographs taken by my very dear friend, Elizabeth Tillar of New Hampshire. The sky is from her photo, "Thunder Struck With a Cello 2" and the fore ground and mountains are from "Storm Clouds Over the Mountains". Elizabeth, you are truly a sweetheart and I thank you for your generosity and encouragement.

Once again I find myself drawn to your gallery Dave - it's such a feast of colour. Here the panoramic sweep of the landscape, highlighted by the fiery foliage, beautifully counterbalances that brooding sky. Lovely work. Fav'/voted.

Dave, a depth that goes beyond even the horizon is one of the beauties of this piece. Love the splendid colors of the repeating trees in the background and your sky here pulls me right into this wonderful atmosphere. I can tell we are a like in loving paint! F/L

Dave, I did not know that you had completed this painting or I would have responded sooner! It is gorgeous. I love what you did with the foreground, and the storm clouds and mountains are superb! You have aced this, as you always do, and I am so honored that one of my photos inspired this wonderful work. l/f
