Dave, this is a very fascinating depiction of the classic fairy tale for modern as well as ancient times. The pastel colors are so 'innocent' and alluring in their uplifting tones, but I soon see the instruments of war lurking among the delicate blossoms and butterflies. Wow, Dave, this piece just grows before the viewer's eyes! Of course, the beauty of it all is what initially grabbed me. And then I see "the beast" of hate, fear and war woven in and out of it all. It is like peace and beauty interrupted. Wow, this is intense and very well done! ~ l/f

Dave there's so much to see and appreciate in this thought-provoking artwork. At first glance of the small preview, this looks to be a pleasant composition comprised of colorful flowers and butterflies. All Happy thoughts… However, once enlarged, viewers will discover the "Beast" of war lurking in the background, hiding among the "Beauty". Very powerful imagery my friend!
