Dave, I just love the brilliance of the sky, the menacing clouds above, and the textures of the foreground landscape. The warmth of this scene, the gentle contours of the land, and the contrast intrinsic in the weather at that moment make this a splendid piece! I love it, my friend. l/f

Artist's Description

My wifes` place of employment is situated on the Eastern edge of the city of New Philadelphia, Ohio in Tuscarawas County. One evening during the second week in October a brief thunderstorm passed through the area. As the wife was leaving work along the side road, she was able to capture this incredible sunset on her iphone. Across the field and between the hills flows the Tuscarawas river. The mist suspended over the river is clearly visible. The photograph of this painting doesn`t do it a bit of justice.

About Dave Farrow

Dave Farrow

It is with a very heavy and sad heart that I must inform you of Dave's passing on November 13th 2018. He loved being part of this site with all of his heart. He enjoyed reading and responding to all his comments and making comments to his other artists buddies as well. I just wanted to make sure you all know why he is not responding to your comments. Not only have I lost my husband of 40 years, my best friend, my soul mate but the world has lost a wonderful person, artist and soul as well. Sincerely, Lorraine Farrow Don`t let the bio photograph scare you. Seven other veterans and myself grow pony tails to donate to wigs for kids with cancer.
